If you love climbing velvety philodendrons, then you'll love Philodendron melanochrysum. Philodendron melanochyrsum is native to Colombia. One of our favorite characteristics about this plant is that their new leaves emerge as a brown-copper color and then harden to their velvety green!
Naturally they climb upon trees we can simulate this with a moss pole which will produce larger growth. They like bright indirect light never direct sun. We water our philodendrons once every 7-10 days. We recommend potting most aroids in coarse mix with good drainage. This plant does appreciate some extra humidity. All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
