A majority of Maranta make for excellent houseplants given their durability and lower light tolerance. They are commonly called prayer plants and open and close slightly when the sun rises and falls. 

Care:

These thrive in semi moist soil. We would recommend watering the soil starts to feel dry roughly every 5 to 7 days. These will do best in a bright indirect light but can do well in low light. When repotting, use an all-purpose soil.
