Kiwi bark's chunky texture makes for an excellent soil amendment! Kiwi bark has a slower decomposition rate and is less likely to rot compared to other wood. Because of this, large pieces such as these can help increase drainage and make soil not compact as much over time. It can also be used as a potting medium on it's own for some epiphytic species such as most orchids!
