Haemanthus humilis is an interesting plant to add to your collection. Especially if you're into soft-fuzzy plants. They usually keep just a couple of their fuzzy-flat leaves. This Haemanthus have beautiful pink and white blooms, they typically bloom around late Summer. This plant will go through a slight dormancy period, and don't need to be watered as frequent. Do not panic if you lose leaves during their dormancy period, the leaves will come back around late spring to early summer.
They prefer dappled direct sun to partial sun, but they do not need full outdoor exposure. You can water this plant once every 10-12 days. They do appreciate a drying out slightly in between waterings, but not for too long. Plant them in a very coarse mix, like a cactus mix!
