An Arium favorite. A beautiful caudiciform plant that is native to South Africa. The fissured surface resembles an elephant's foot, and that is where it gets it's nickname from! It is one known to go dormant in U.S. climates during the winter where it will lose all of it's leaves and regrow them in the spring!
Care:
These will do best in bright indirect light. They do not like too much share though! It is important to not overwater during the winter when it does dormant as it will not be using much water at all! Water only when the pot is fully dry roughly every 2 to 3 weeks. When repotting, you can use a semi-coarse soil medium.
