Cleistocactus strausii aka the silver torch cactus, is a fun cactus to add to your arid collection. They have tall cylindrical leaves, their spikes are slightly hidden from the fuzzy white hairs along the cactus.

Care:

This will do best when given a lot of light. It can handle a little direct sun or even filtered light. Water when the pot is fully dry roughly which may roughly be every 2 weeks. Watering can be cut back during the winter. When repotting, use a coarse cacti soil medium.
