Begonia ferox is an extremely striking begonia. They are native to China. This begonia is especially cool because as it matures they get these raised black cones, but they're not sharp. This begonia is a little more unusual, and hardly in cultivation.
Begonias do not need any direct sun, though do need a bright filtered light to keep them happy. They also like to be watered when the 2-3 inches is dry which is roughly every 7-10 days. If they ever wilt, usually they will pop right back up within a few hours of watering! If ever repotted, they do best a HEAVY ratio of perlite to soil. Though we have found best results for growing begonias to be avoid repotting altogether.
