An absolutely adorable miniature caudiciform. This species is hardly found in cultivation! Native to parts of South Africa, these are a VERY slow grower. It can take several decades to grow a few centimeters in diameter! Because of this, these may be roughly the same size throughout most of it's life. It has very short branches that can form purple/pink flowers in the spring and summer under the right growing conditions.

Care:

These will do best when given a bright light like a cacti would. They do not need full direct sun, but a bright dappled sun will do nicely. As with most Caudiciforms, they will need to fully dry out in the soil between waterings. We end up watering ours only once a month! They store a lot of water in their bases! These will not develop a deep root system so be sure to pick a small shallow pot when re-potting. They will like to be in a coarse cacti soil medium that will drain water well. We would recommend avoiding watering during the winter as they will go dormant during the winter.

All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
