A classic Calathea and one of the most easy going! They are known their distinct markings and for their photonastic movements. During the day, their leaves are horizontal to photosynthesize and at night, their leaves close up vertically. This is a perfect plant for beginners or enthusiasts to enjoy!
Care:
Calathea thrive in bright filtered light while taking care to avoid direct sun. While they prefer a bright space they can tolerate low light very well! They do not like super dry spaces so prefer to stay slightly moist. To achieve this, water when first 1-2" of soil starts to try out. This may roughly be 5-7 days depending on your home environment. When re-potting use an all purpose soil medium.
All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.A classic Calathea and one of the most easy going!
