This cultivar of carnosa is native to parts of Asia and Australia. The leaves on the "Chelsea" are more compact and are extra waxy in appearance to that of standard carnosa. It can be a bit slower growing than carnosa, but it is worth the wait!

Care

These will not want to be in scorching direct sun, but a nice bright filtered light or even dappled sun will cause them to blush with darker colors! We would recommend watering when the soil dries completely. This may be around 10-14 days depending on your home environment. A good indicator when they are thirsty is when the the foliage starts to feel limp and slightly flexible. When repotting, be sure to use a semi-coarse, chunky soil medium that will drain water well. They make for excellent mounts too!

All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
