These are very beautiful and easy going plants! They are known for their big paddle-like leaves. Starting with a small size like this you will really get to watch them grow into a big lovely plant! In the wild, the leaves are made to tear at the veins as to create passage for strong winds as to not break the whole leaf. Named the "Bird of Paradise" for the incredibly unique flower that looks like an exotic bird! Though it is more closely related to bananas than it is a bird.

Care:

We would recommend placing these in the brightest spot you have available while taking care to avoid any harsh direct sun! They do not do well in a lower light space. They can go just a few inches dry from the top of the soil between waterings.. This may be every 7-10 days for a small size such a this one. When repotting, use a semi-coarse or chunky soil medium.

All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
