Haemanthus is an interesting plant to add to your collection. Especially if you're into soft-fuzzy plants. This species keeps just a singular fuzzy-flat leaf, although it can have multiple bulbs per pot. They typically bloom around late Summer to early Fall. This plant will go through a slight dormancy period, and doesn't need to be watered as frequently. Do not panic if you lose leaves during their dormancy period (Spring thru Summer), the leaves will come back around late Summer to early Fall.

They prefer dappled direct sun to partial sun, but they do not need full outdoor exposure. You can water this plant once every 10-12 days. They do appreciate drying out slightly in between waterings, but not for too long. Plant them in a very coarse mix, like a cactus mix!
