Ficus umbellata is another great great ficus to add to your collection. These plants are known for their big umbrella-like leaves, which can reach an impressive size. While they may look similar to a Ficus lyrata 'Fiddle Leaf Fig,' they are quite different, and a little easier going in our opinion.
Care:
THESE REQUIRE A VERY BRIGHT SPACE. THIS PLANT WILL NOT DO WELL IN LOWER LIGHT.
These prefer VERY BRIGHT indirect light but they can handle 2-3 hours of direct sun in the morning or evening. We do not recommend these if your space is a little darker! These let these go fairly dry before giving them a full watering again. They would appreciate a watering once every 7-10 days or 10-12 days, depending on the lighting conditions in your home. When re-potting use a semi-coarse soil.
All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
