Phalaenopsis gigantea is native to Borneo, and truly deserves its name, having the largest foliage in its genus. We are ecstatic to be able to offer this plant, as we have not been able to find it! We have not gotten them to bloom, but read that the blooms tend to smell like burnt matchsticks.

Care
Orchids such as this one will like a bright indirect light (they will not flower in lower light conditions!). They will also like warmer spring and summer conditions to encourage blooming. We recommend watering them once every 4-5 days. Since they are grown on a mount, they tend to dry out fairly quickly.
