Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta is a miniature epiphytic orchid native to tropical Africa, found from Cameroon to Kenya and Tanzania. It has a compact, fan-like growth habit with a few narrow, leathery leaves and produces graceful, pendulous spikes of crystalline white flowers. Each bloom features a long nectar spur and a distinctive bright red-orange column, which gives the variety its name (“rhodosticta” means red-marked).
This elegant species thrives in warm to intermediate, humid conditions with bright, filtered light and good air movement. Its delicate, night-fragrant flowers and contrasting red centers make it one of the most striking and beloved African Aerangis orchids among collectors.
