You haven't used Sphagnum moss like this before. We highly recommend using this for propagating, acclimating sensitive tropicals, making Kokedama, making mounts, and potting orchids. This is the premier grade with long fibrous strands averaging around 4-6" long. Hydrate with water and you're ready to use. Some suggest boiling your substrates but we've never had any issues straight out of the bag for years especially with the higher grade sphagnum.
