Nepenthes alata *Local Pickup Only*
One of our favorite carnivores! Native to boggy areas these usually are growing in nutrient deficient waters and get their essential nutrients & minerals from digesting insects. They can usually sustain themselves on a single a fly per month! Once one of the mouths has fed, they usually die off and regrow one.
These thrive in direct sun and frequent waterings. They like to be consistently wet! It is recommended using distilled water or even letting your tap sit in a watering vessel overnight for 24 hours to dissipate any particles. They like a nutrient void soil, so can root in either sphagnum moss or a soil specifically labeled for carnivorous plant use.
All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
