Alocasia cuprea

Alocasia cuprea 4”

So for starters this is hands down one of the best species of Alocasia out there, mainly know for is dark metallic almost black and exterrestrial looking foliage. This is a must have for collectors. This species is from Borneo, endemic to Sabah, and found on slopes in a variety of soil substrates, though it is not very common in the wild or cultivation. They ship in 4” pots and all look around the same size as the photo. Most of the leaves are around 3.5-4 inches long.

*We highly recommend this plant only for people with knowledge of Alocasia and tropical care and needs.*

These plants thrive in well draining mix that need a balance of constant moisture but avoiding over or under watering. They need bright indirect light. Preferably diffused southern or western light with nice ambient humidity.
